We all know how it feels when you reach the end of spring and your hair has been well and truly battered by springtime wind, rain, sun, rain and more rain. If there’s ever a time to treat yourself and your hair to a new look, it’s now. I present to you my prediction for the summer hair colour that’s going to be everywhere - copper.
Gone are the days of furiously bleaching ginger hair to achieve - well, any other colour. Now I’m pleased to say ginger and copper is being fully embraced with open arms by mothers, celebrities, teenagers, hair salons and stylists. Although we love the subtle copper highlights, dip dye and tinting; this season seems to be about going all out with all over copper glossy locks… and we love that even more. Let’s see how the pro’s are doing it:
Everyone’s favourite Orange is the New Black star is actually a natural blonde. But as seen here at the Met Gala this year, Natasha is firmly sporting the all over copper curly lob. We may not have the time to curl our hair like that every morning before work but a copper lob is on our summer must have. And so are those earrings.
Not to blow our own trumpet, but toot toot! This copper transformation by our stylist Kennedy is one to match the stars on the red carpet. The below shoulder curls give us the youthful summer vibe we’re all craving and the 'natural' all over ginge is totally attainable and long lasting!
A long time advocate of ginger hair, Bella Thorne has rejuvenated the copper look. An admittedly more orange shout, perhaps only for the braver of us, but that vibrancy under the summer sun would be to DYE for. Bella keeps the styling simple and straightened. Throw on some heart shaped shades to accessorise like a summer goddess.
