With Balayage, your colour technician works on individual sections of hair one at a time. She uses a brush to sweep colour onto the fronts of hair strands, adding movement to your hair. Of course, your colour technician will work with you to decide which colour to use and how narrow or chunky to make the highlighted sections.
Because the colour is swept lightly onto your hair, there are no harsh lines separating your highlights from your natural colour. This means that Balayage suits a wide variety of styles – straight, wavy or curly. You can change your hairstyle according to your mood without having to worry about whether the colour will work with your new style.
Balayage is a very low maintenance colour techniques. Highlights are painted on using subtle strokes, so grow out is hard to notice. Balayage adds colour to your hair in a way which looks natural and effortless. Therefore it is best to choose a colour which is no more than 3 shades lighter than your natural hair.
Cool, Pink or Blue Undertones
Create a beachy, sun kissed look with ash, champagne, or baby blonde. Alternatively, silvery or platinum shades also work well with cool skin tones and avoid leaving you looking washed out. For those with a darker base colour, strawberry blondes and light browns will create a natural look.
Warm, Olive or Yellow Undertones
