Celebrity Big Brother has started! And we're all excited. Here at The Hair Boutique we're not just loving the celeb drama we're loving the hair on Emma Willis! Not only does she have great character but she also has great hair!
Most people used to be terrified of the chop and scared to brave the pixie. Others saw it as limiting and dull. But, more and more people are wanting the Willis. Her cut is versatile and she pulls of numerous looks. From rock-chick, to glam, to sophisticated chic! She is proof that short hair is fun and sexy too!
She showcases how women can rock a short cut that is slowly coming right back into fashion.
So, lets go through some of the things we think Emma would use/do to achieve her look.
First off, the rock-chick look.
This look is all about volume and texture. To start off with we'd use volume shampoo and conditioner to create that structure. We would then go in with some wax and texture spray to help hold but manipulate the hair and finish with some firm hold hairspray to keep that look crisp all day long.
Secondly, the glam look.
This look consists of sleek volume. Again going in with the volume shampoo and conditioner but this time using serums and high shine hairspray to finish the look. But the key is to use small amounts of both products, you don't want to be weighed down.
Thirdly, sophisticated chic.
This look doesn't require as much volume as the other two, so we would suggest using a moisturising shampoo and conditioner to give it that soft shine. We would then go in with a 2 in 1 finish spray to give that glossy shine and to help mould pieces into place. Minimal product is needed for this simplistic look but elegant look.
And finally, sleek perfection.
This look brings twiggy back to the 20th century. It's classic and timeless and oh so simple to achieve. To create this look depending on your hair texture you may find smoothing shampoo and conditioner beneficial. In order to style it into place you'd need a wet look gel, don't be scared you wont look like slick rick if you follow our advice. Use the wet look gel to mould your fringe to the side and if its long enough behind your ears. They key is to not go OTT with the gel. Finish with a light hair spray.
