Should you be blow-drying your hair this winter?

Winter can be a harsh season for your beauty routine. For starters, it’s especially drying and can lead to sore lips. Unfortunately, we can't feel when our hair is in a fragile state so it is important to know how we can best protect our hair during the colder months.

We have always been told to avoid heat at all costs so when possible we like to leave our hair to air dry while we sleep or during our errands. Running around with wet hair when it's chilly outside is an uncomfortable feeling, although It turns out that it also can do more harm than good to leave our hair wet throughout the day or night.

Going outside into cold weather with wet hair can cause the water in your hair to expand, weaken splinter and even snap!

Letting our hair dry naturally during winter can cause some serious damage as our hair is in its most fragile state when wet. We should prevent our hair from being in this state as much as we can especially considering how long our hair takes to dry when it’s cold.

leaving our hair in this state for long periods of time is not a good idea although excessive heat on the hair can also, indeed, cause damage.
